# Name my cat

I just inherited a male cat. Uh, no. Kitten. It’s definitly too young to be called a cat. It is trained to use the box, thankfully, because I hate poop. Really really hate poop.
He’s fat. Okay, not really fat but nice and round for a kitten.
He is black and white, but mostly black.
Other than that I haven’t had a chance to really bond with him yet so if he has a personality or not I cannot tell. The reason I mention that is because I have always named my dogs this way, i.e. Quidnunc, Heyday, & Loafer.
I have never owned a cat before but my landlord does not allow dogs, blah blah blah…so a friends cat had kittens and voila. I am now a cat owner. But I want a cool name for my cat because this is my first one. No, I want a super-cool turbo charged kick ass kind of name (that can be said with small children and women present). But I hate whatever names I think of, they just sound so _lame_.
So now I come to you, TM’s, all suggestions will be noted and brought to the attention of the Naming Committee (S.O) whereupon a new name will be chosen.
So, I say, open the floodgates and lets begin the Hunt-for-the-Perfect-Cat-Name®.
I beseech you all, who wants to go first?

I’ve always wanted name a cat “ **Velcro** ”. It seems so appropriate for a kitten, because they tend to stick to everything with thier little claws.
I almost talked Mrs. Squeegee into using that name for our current cat, but the cat is a mottled black & white like a cow, so she became “ **Elsie** ” (as in the milk-carton cow).

mr. bond. i’ve always wanted to have a male cat and name him mr. bond, so that every day when i left the house, i’d have an excuse to say “good-bye…mr. bond!” unfortunately, my kitties are all female, and hubby wouldn’t let me name the dog mr. bond.
i also strongly believe that animals who have a title in their names are happier. i have a friend who has a cat named mrs. jones. so, consider names like sir edmund hilary, mr rogers, aga kahn.
also, names that are descriptive are great, but you must always use the full name. so if you name your kitty ethelred the rotund, you must always call him ethelred the rotund, never eth, or ethel.

I second Gargamel
I also always wanted to name a cat Aslan, but no one will let me. You could name him Rufus or Caesar. I like the name Lincoln, but I am not sure if this would fit your cat.

I have always wanted to name a pet WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get and pronounced wiz-e-wig). You can call him wiz or wizzer for short.
