My favorite cat name, bestowed on a friend’s pet, was Speedy Tomato. Of course, my toaster is named Pop-Up Willie, so I’m not your most coherent source. ---

“bagkitty” is always a good name 🙂 (leave a paper bag on the floor and watch what happens). Too bad it is a tom, “She Who Must Be Obeyed” always come to minds around cats. “Pouncer on Dust Bunnies” “Lint Magnet” “Contrary” the ever popular “Furball” Ultimately, it doesn’t matter what you name him, they usually don’t respond to much other than “Psss, Psss, Psss” kittys… gotta love em, or they regurgitate on your pillow ---

Tybalt. He’s the prince of cats, says Shakespeare. In fact when I get a cat, that’s what I’m going to name it. Probably even if it’s a girl cat. Shoot, she won’t know the difference. They don’t usually come when you call them anyway. Besides, I have have to carry on my family’s great alliteration-naming-tradition. My mother is one of five siblings. All of them, along with their parents, have “J” names. I’m one of three, and we all have “Al” names. Then among pets we have the Julie, Jessie and Jareth Dynasty and the Pirate and Patches Dynasty. Therefore: Toby and Tybalt. How cute is that? ---
