I was a little worried after I’d hit ‘submit’ that I might offend you by not taking it seriously enough. I think the suggestion by \*\*gigi \*\* a little further down of ‘Sienna’ might genuinely be a good one. It’s girly, colourful, and uncommon but not ‘way out of left field’ - so it suits the kind of names you’ve chosen so far. (Oddly, I find ‘Scythe’ quite appealing… I must be channeling my inner Goth. How very disturbing! 😃 ) ---

I almost named my daughter “Hadley.” Ernest Hemingway’s first wife had that name. I named her Olivia, but I still kind of wish I’d chosen Hadley, because I’ve never seen another one. Why not a Chinese name, if you adopt from China? Our son is adopted from Jamaica and we named him “Nigel,” which is common in Jamaica (they like those British names) but not in the US. I later saw in one name book that “Nigel” means “black prince,” which is kind of cool. ---
