Name pronunciation: "Townshend"

We only do that because it’s so much fun listening to foreign types try to pronounce our words. My all time favourite is Loughborough pronounced as ‘looga bor rooga’.

I hope that something internationally news worthy happens in Gorsafawddacha’idraigodanheddogleddollônpenrhynareurdraethceredigion in Wales.

Do they not get along?

I thought that the only reason Townshend was still touring with The Who was because the other bandmembers needed the money even though he doesn’t because he gets tonnes of royalties.

Two of the original four (Moon, Entwhistle) have passed away and I’m pretty sure Daltrey doesn’t need the money (I think he owns a salmon farm, for example.)

I think they just love playing (and they’re still worth listening to!)

Ok, after my earlier smart-ass response, I pulled out my copy of Scoop. He introduces the first track, So Sad About Us as “…a valuable Pete Towns-end recording.”

He pronounces it the same way, though not as distinctly, in the infamous Smothers Brothers clip.
