Young lady at work can’t remember what it’s called and none of her anime-fan friends have ever heard of it. Having “people,” I offered to track it down. First tried my daughters, who failed me, so I’m asking you. Girl with dark hair travels in a spaceship with her comic sidekick, a smiling green ball. Another girl with long, blonde hair is first trapped in a test tube like somebody from Power Rangers whom I don’t remember. (I watched it for the Pink Ranger and that “something for the dads” in the movie. I understand there were other people on the show and it might have had some sort of plot, but I never noticed.) Blonde lady busts out of her test tube and starts killing people with her psychic powers. Okay, it’s 19:38 UTC. How long will this take? ---

can they remember anything else? “girl with long blonde hair busts out and kills everyone” could describe a lot of shows… especially animes. was there gore? was she nekkid? hyper violent or girly? wacky or serious? [simoun](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simoun_%28anime%29) might be an option. I haven’t seen it, but it does appear to have a green ball, blonde girl, and cloning. ---

Probably late 80s, early 90s. The ball had a big grin and served as comic relief. All I know. ---

I don’t think so, but I’ll suggest it. All I really wanted to do is shut the woman up because she brays when she talks. Thanks! I believe I suffered brain death while reading about that _Gundam_ series of series. Not because I don’t like anime, but because of the complexity. That shit requires FAR too much mental energy. ---

Too late. I don’t usually ask a question I haven’t already researched. I mean, I did with this one, but went to Google after asking it. I’d ask why women in anime all look like jailbait and the men all look like angry schoolgirls in trenchcoats, but that can probably be blamed on Douglas MacArthur, like the resurgence of tentacle porn.
