As one of the very few 2000 AD aficionados that will read this, I’ll get the Harlem Heroes out of the way, the sport being Aeroball. I do seem to remember them fighting guys dressed as samurai in Japan, so that could be the Tokyo Samurais too. ---

All the ones I know (or think I know) off the top of my head: Adams College Atoms - Football: _Revenge of the Nerds_. Barnstoneworth United - Football (soccer): _Dream Team_ … I’m guessing. Brentwich United - Football (soccer): _Dream Team_ … I’m guessing, and hedging my bets… Capital City Capitals - baseball: _The Simpsons_ Charlestown Chiefs - hockey: _Slap Shot_ Hackensack Bulls - baseball: _Brewster’s Millions_ … the Richard Pryor version. Hickory High School Huskers - basketball: _Hoosiers_ Las Venturas Bandits - baseball, I think: _Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas_ Miami Sharks - football: _Any Given Sunday_ Mudville Nine - baseball: _Casey at the Bat_, however, that isn’t really the name for the team, but a colloquialism of a team from Mudville. Enormous State University Sandcrabs are not Doonesbury, but you’re along the right lines… **Sr Siete** gets 1 point for Harlem Heroes; I don’t think the Tokyo Samurais were also aeroball; that team might’ve been the Bushido Blades. **Jack Batty** gets 10 points. Barnstoneworth United and Brentwich United: right sport, wrong source. **Munch** gets 3 points. **Jack** snaked most of your points. 🙂 The Los Angeles Diablos are not from The Replacements, nor are they football. **Little Nemo** has some good gueses, but gets only 1 point.
