Yes, which is why it’s ironic that it was left off the American version of the album.
Ten - Pearl Jam
Mother Earth - Within Temptation *
Boy - U2
Fallen - Evanescence
Weezer - Weezer
*had an EP preceding it(the EP is horrible, by the way)
Wow, I had no idea. That makes me realize that I’ve never listened to the American track listing. Which is good. I hate See Emily Play. Astronomy Domine and Lucifer Sam is the only way to start that record.
Here’s a few that I don’t believe have been mentioned yet:
1-Little Feat - Little Feat
2-Talking Heads '77 - Talking Heads
3-Outlandos d’Amour - Police
4-Blind Melon-Blind Melon
5-Greetings from Asbury Park - Bruce Springsteen
Thanks. :smack:
A lot of good ones mentioned but I have to add two that have been overlooked.
ABBA - Arrival
Frankie Goes to Hollywood - Welcome to the Pleasuredome
Since we’re a couple of pages in, I will say a solid runner up for me was Get the Knack. Great songs end to end. My Sharona is iconic, but lots of other tracks make folks smile when they come on. Good Girls Don’t. What a fun, teenage rude kinda song.
Great album, but it was their fourth, after Ring Ring, Waterloo, and the self-titled third one. They even had a “greatest hits” album that preceded Arrival.
Oh snap - I missed the word “debut” in the title! sorry.
Here’s a couple:
Guns N’ Roses – Appetite For Destruction
Foo Fighters (eponymous)
Here’s some more:
Mamas and Papas - If you can believe…
Judee Sill
Steely Dan - Can’t buy a thrill
and the overlooked gem:
Left Banke - Walk Away Renee (You might be surprised at how great this one is)
Lots of good suggestions. I’ll throw out one I think is overlooked:
John Prine: John Prine.
That’s a great shout.
Oh, yes!
Garbage: Garbage
Joe Jackson: Look Sharp
Big Audio Dynamite: This Is Big Audio Dynamite
Guns N’ Roses: Appetite for Destruction
Pearl Jam: Ten (greatest band of all time- if they die in a plane crash after this album)
- Tori Amos - Little earthquakes (a top 10 album of all time for me)
- Dire Straits - Dire Straits
- Agnes Obel - Philharmonics
- David Sylvian - Brilliant trees
- Kate Bush - The kick inside
Air - Moon Safari
One that I haven’t seen listed:
Introducing the Hardline According to Terence Trent D’Arby
Any others on my list have been mentioned already.
A few more good ones I thought of:
Sugarcubes-Life’s Too Good
Cake-Motorcade of Generosity
Veruca Salt-American Thighs
The Modern Lovers
Moby Grape
Boston
Beastie Boys - Licensed to Ill
Van Halen
