Jesus, I hate the commercial. I almost broke my finger once trying to get to the remote control to change the channel because that commercial came on. Whenever I hear it, I get **I Will Celebrate** stuck in my head. Arrrrrgh. It makes me want to gouge my brain out with a grapefruit spoon!

As to the OP there’s no CD, _per se_, but there are singles that I’d only admit to my hubby that I, uh, don’t dislike. I’m deeply shamed, but here they are:

- Girlfriend by (eep!) Nelly and N’Sync
- For some reason I’m drawing a blank on the ‘artist’ and the song but it goes something like 'won’t you staaaaaaaaay? stay forever and ever…" Somebody Minogue or something?
- It’s Gonna Be Me by N’Sync (all that I do, it’s not enough for you…)
- Freak on a Leash by (eep!) Korn (…feeling like I have no release…)

Jesus, I know there’s more, but I’ve feel I’ve said too much already.

\<sigh\>

Okay!I admit i have a weakness for the compilation cd of Mrs. Miller. ( Mrs. Miller was a housewife who in the late 1960’s recorded a few albums and had a top 10 hit with “Downtown”). There a few spots where she almost hits the correct note on this compilation cd. It’s one of the funniest cds ever released.

I recently purchased “Clarence Carters Greatest Hits” which includes "Strokin’ " and I think it’s a GREAT CD! I also bought a Milli Vanilli CD which I also like. My children are convinced that I’ve gone off the deep end…maybe because I’m 53 and SHOULD be listening to Lawrence Welk or something. Not this geezer-to-be!!!

When I was a Drill Sergeant, we had an odd tradition of Neil Diamond Friday[SUP]tm[/SUP]. We forced all of our soldiers to learn the words to **Coming to America** and every Friday afternoon, we’d all sing it at the top of our lungs.
Yes it was cheesy and yes, we got some funny looks. Suspected Psychotic Drill Sergeant and 80 captive soldiers singing along with Neil. But it was our thing and it was kind of a cool stress relief at the end of a long, tedious week with the Suspected Psychotic Drill Sergeant.

I think the soldiers even enjoyed it.

Of course, that might have been because if we weren’t singing Neil Diamond, that meant I was ticked off and life was about to be unpleasant, but I thought it was fun. 🆒

O THE SHAME, THE SHAME! I have this CD right here (hidden under Beasite Boys & Johnny Cash discs)…it was the first thing I thought of when I saw the thread title…and then I thought of _Hooray for Boobies_ by the Bloodhound Gang, which I cannot listen to at work…

I have nothing to add here as all my musical selections (whatever they might be) are beyond reproach.

And of course the best/worst song on there (so bad, I love it) is Track #7.

“And I have never been afraid of loo-ooosin’,
And I have never wanted love to be a cha-a-a-ain.
I only know that when I’m with you,
You’re my sunshine, you’re my rain.
The sweetest thing I’ve ever know is loving you.”

Best when sung at the top of your lungs. Classic.

Actually, Petula Clark was the only one with a top 10 version of “Downtown” – Mrs. Miller’s version peaked at #82 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. (The record’s B-side, A Lover’s Concerto, peaked at #95). And that was it for Mrs. Miller’s charting singles career.

With the exception of 2 CDs, my entire music collection is one of _impeccable good taste and flawless, irreproachable merit_. Just trust me on this.

Exception #1. I know this is very embarassing, but I do… um, er, mutter, mumble, shuffle awkwardly… sometimes listen to a CD by Boston. Wait… it gets worse. It’s “Walk On”, which apparently even Boston fans don’t really go for much. Sorry.

Exception #2. I wouldn’t admit this if I were not among friends, and friends who can keep a secret at that. Here I go. Deep breath. Be brave. I actually own a copy of “Celine Dion At The Movies”. Look, I can explain. When that movie came out about the big boat, I actually liked the song and at the time this was the easiest way to… where are you all going? Come back! Look, I’ve got the White Album too and I listen to that _much_ more often…

Where did they all go?

Also, I listen to _Crossroad_ in the car and sing all of Richie’s parts at the top of my lungs.
