My #2 must be more difficult that I first thought. Another hint: DY2. There’s an unidentifiable war in a unidentifiable forest. Later, a man first imagines himself as a general, then as a fish. But before that, a sub-group’s plans for reuniting with the main group are sidetracked when they happen upon a lightly defended enemy general. And some more hints for my recent batch: DY6. A man with an afro assures us his knife is the same as ours, his is just spray-painted black so it doesn’t shine. “Let’s go up here.” DY7. A woman turns down a trapeze act for a part in a musical revue. Later, when someone pulls the fire alarm, she escapes during the spectators’ confused rush out. DY8. A maid doesn’t recall the lights flickering. A man accuses a woman of hiding a small painting. DY9. The laser eye surgeon’s anaesthetics are in pill form and his dosing guidelines are “whatever can fit in your fist”. Later, it seems a man’s recent blindness has given him psychic abilities. DY10. A man is hit by a woman driving two white horses while going to work. Later, a learned individual pronounces his poems as being good amateur work, but not publishing quality. ---

(Footnote: My younger brother was about two years old when _Bewitched_ went on the air. The short animated bit near the end of the episodes–in which Samantha smiled and twitched her nose–scared him every time he saw it. (That was then. His daughter got married last year.) ---

The Man with the X-Ray Eyes (Ray Milland). 5. Yes, this was _Horsefeathers._ 🙂 Some more: 6. In a women’s prison, several inmates keep a kitten–until there’s a fight and the poor thing is found crushed. ☹ 7. A man leaves for work and bowls the postman over. 8. As a message is recorded on an answering machine, we see a picture of Noah Beery. 9. At a baseball game, a young man in the outfield suddenly turns into an older man. 10. A huge lizard plunges into a pool of lava as several humans are propelled out of the ground on a large flat stone. 11. At a funeral, a woman listening to the eulogy is suddenly overcome with an irresistible urge to bust out laughing. 12. A man is ambushed at a toll booth and riddled with bullets. 13. The answer was _Fear and Desire_, Kubrick’s first (and often laughably bad) feature film. My others, I’ll leave open, since they’re really quite easy. The DY10 title is a little obscure, but I’ve given a fairly major minor occurrence as a hint to make up for that. ---
