I came across this; [http://straitstimes.asia1.com.sg/asia/story/0,4386,275321,00.html](http://straitstimes.asia1.com.sg/asia/story/0,4386,275321,00.html) article while reading Fark. The scientists are considering Japonium or rikenium as a name. I kinda scratched my head and thought “wouldn’t Nipponium be more Japanese?” Then I considered Godzillium, yes I was onto something. But then it dawned on me, hey this is the densest element right? what about Bushinium or Kerryllium? So the challenge is on fellow Dopers, help the scientists come up with a perfect name for their new discovery, or just crack a good joke about it. ---

While density and atomic mass are related, the densest element is not always the one with the largest atomic mass. Electron shells and all that. ---

I think **ftg** was making a case not for the incredibly large mass of electrons but the fact that with more shells comes lower density. ---
