I thought exactly the same thing-- she looks like Oreo Cookies 'n Cream ice cream. And soooooooooo cute!

My son has a black and white cat named Double Stuff. That might work with a dog who’s Double Big.

[QUOTE=Beaucarnea]
I have only seen one other blue merle in my area- an older male with a very similar pattern. Shelby gets a lot of attention- a giant blue dog is a pretty rare sight. I am sure you will love your new puppy and her silky ears.

Awwwww! Widdle silky puppy ears!

That’s great! Do you think she speaks cat, and would she be willing to come and teach this skill to the Neville kitties?

I could send Shelby over, but I’ll bet that the cat will continue to barf in doorways, hallways, and bedspreads, or wherever bare feet may pass. I suspect that cat barf is a method of establishing dominance over humans.

How much does an adult dane need to eat? Is it true that two dogs can bankrupt you?

Shelby is 10 months old, 125 pounds and eats 5-6 cups per day- about 3 bags of dog food per month. Danes are not very active dogs, so they don’t require as much food as you might think. But we don’t have children, so working the dog food and vet bills into my budget isn’t as much of a problem it might be for a family.
**dahfisheroo** , how big are the adult parents of your new puppy?

Pft! If we’re doing queens of denmark, I’d say Margie (for Margrethe II). Margie Merle!
