The Outer Limits: Demon With A Glass Hand. I’ve got it on disc, it’s still a great story.
MST3K: Outlaw of Gor. Toobular boobular joy! Caaaabot! Caaaabot!
Friends: The One Where They Know We Know They Know
Simpsons: The Man Who Had To Struggle For Everything. Best black comedy evah!
Women: Stories of Passion – The Gigolo (softcore series, but a nice little story)
Game of Thrones – Finale of Season 2, where Tyrion is acclaimed “Half-Man”
Mad Men – “Guy Walks Into an Advertising Agency” A dingbat secretary who can’t operate a sit-down lawn-mower, inadvertently saves the day for Sterling Cooper.
Twilight Zone – “To Serve Man” “It’s a cookbook!” Didn’t see that one coming!
The Andy Griffith Show: Opie’s Charity.
Dharma & Greg: Season 3, Episode 16. Weekend at Larry’s.
Moving a long dead friend around her parents’ garden; and Greg pretends she’s nuts to utility workers to avoid their intentions.
The slowness added to its creepiness. (ymmv) When I first saw it, it let me know that The Doctor wasn’t all joking, you see…
Robots of Death reminded me of Blake’s 7
Early on, I saw a lot of the shows all out of order.
MASH* - the nightmare episode.
Breaking Bad: a tough series to choose from, but I’d say Ozymandias is right up there at the top along with Crawlspace.
Flight of The Conchords: Has to be The Actor, with Will Forte as the “semi-professional actor”. The LOTR song is just hilarious.
Deadwood: The fight between Swearingen’s and Hearst’s proxies. Pretty much any ep with Calamity Jane in it.
Duck Dynasty when they visit Hawaii - Si is too much
Will and Grace: the one where Will’s mother calls him a faygelah. Or maybe the one where Grace gets married and Will finally realizes how lonely he’s going to be.
Murphy Brown: the pilot is very, very, very funny.
Roseanne: The one where Jackie and Roseanne visit their old home in the aftermath of their dad’s death. The attempt to forgive a loved one that they didn’t particularly like was heartbreakingly real.
Malcolm in the Middle: any episode with Lois’s mother. Cloris Leachman is hilarious.
I think you’re right with this one. My nomination for the wierdest dream was Father Mulcahy’s. The scene shift where you notice that the bare feet on the large crucifix have turned into soldier’s boots, and blood is dripping from them onto the altar. Very creepy.
The Big Bang Theory - The Bath Item Gift Hypothesis
There are so many funny episodes, but I think this one is awesome. The denouement, when Sheldon gets the napkin from Penny, has to be one of the greatest scenes in TV history.
This MASH scene always cracks me up. Frank Burns eats worms!
West Wing: The Butterball Turkey Hotline Episode or the one where Mrs. Landingham dies and the president curses God in Latin.
THis is a great episode. I also love The Shiny Trinket Maneouver is great although I am not sure if I liked the whole episode or just extrapolating out from the scene where Amy gets a tiara from Sheldon.
How *dare *you insult my knowledge of ancient dentistry?!
So, yah, Space Mutiny is probably it for me, as far as MST3K goes. Though now that I think about it, Werewolf is up there. “They’re establishing the heck out that building!”
Of course the immediate title that leapt to mind upon reading the thread title was Breaking Bad: “Ozymandias.”
I’m only up to the end of season 2 of Boardwalk Empire, but I was really impressed by the second season finale, “To the Lost.” It took a lot of balls, and it followed the natural narrative arc, rather than weaseling out.
The Original Star Trek: has to be The Trouble With Tribbles.
This is fun!
My favorites…
Breaking Bad - Ozymandias
The Simpsons - Homer Badman
Game of Thrones - The Rains of Castamere
Spartacus: Blood & Sand - Kill Them All
I’ve always been partial to the 2-part Phone Cops episode myself, but I can’t really argue with you.
“I wish to make a complaint.”
Do I need to elaborate?
