I was wondering why this was bumped!

Well, despite all the good (and some plain stupid :P) suggestions, we named our son…

KAISHU. Pronounced kye-shoe.

Kai means to lead, Shu means autumn. Its easy to say in Japanese and English, and can be shortened to Kai.

Damn, I didn’t notice the last posts and thought you were still taking suggestions, so I wrote a whole list of names (I think I’ll put it in anyway in case people are curious):  
For boys:  
Odin  
Thor  
Ukko  
Veikko  
Heikki  
Hieronymus

For girls:  
Vashti  
Zenaida  
Cytheraea

For either:  
Emuukha  
Yacatizma

But I think Kaishu is a wonderful name. I’m sick of hearing of parents’ naming their kids either really common English names or stupid pseudo-WASPy yuppie names, so you’ve provided a breath of fresh air.
