Just occurred to me to wonder: If SCOTUS rules that some or all those guys have to testify, and Trump instead resigns to prevent that, and Pence becomes president, I wonder if they might be compelled to testify anyway (sooner or later), and if their tales will plainly incriminate Pence too. ---

I agree that it’s likely that Pence is implicated in the Ukraine scheme, to one degree or another. But I suspect that a weary nation will simply decide to give him a pass. I wouldn’t like it, but to see Trump gone off to live in his new golden palace in Riyadh, never again to darken our towels, would be so pleasing that I could live with Pence skating. ---
