I would say that normally any person who holds the office of President of the United States should be entitled to some respect just because of that regardless of their individual flaws. For example, I strongly disagreed with many of the things that George W. Bush did but I would show him some basic respect because he was the President. But Donald Trump is different. He has openly and continuously refused to follow the standards of decency that a President should follow. So if Trump refuses to respect his own Presidency, why should I respect it? He deserves to receive the same lack of respect that he gives. ---
