**Emmerich, Bay, Schumacher,** and **Shamalan** almost gaurantee and huge, smelly, expensive stinkers now-a-days. Yet, I still go see their movies (and consider Transformers 2 to be one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen). Also, **McG** … shudder. I thought he was going to reinvent himself with Terminator Salvation, but nope. The next teir are directors that seem to hold promise based on some of their older films. I _want_ to like their current stuff, but it seems they just got lucky on a couple films, like **Ron Howard.** I only like two movie he’s made (Splash and Apollo 13), but the rest have been incredible shit. And now he’s directing one of my favorite epics of all time: The Dark Tower Series, and fear absolute destruction. **Brett Ratner, Sam Raimi, Jan De Bont,** are some others that fall in here. Then there’s the givens like U\*\*we Boll \*\*and **Jason Friedberg/Aaron Seltzer** … almost not even worth mentioning.
