I love Jamal. It either means beautiful or camel (one is Jamaal IIRC but I get confused which). Either way if I had a camel I would call it Jamal, meaning beautiful and punning with jamaal=camel. ---

I distinctly remember a set of twins in some parenting magazine who were (awfully) named **Carter** and \*\*Regan \*\*. ---

I don’t remember if his name was exactly as above (I was in 1st grade when I knew him), but still kind of freaky. Maybe there’s whole conventions of people just named Alexander. If your last name happens to be Ho, don’t name your kids Ida or Ivan! We happened to be telling this to two friends of ours who got married a few years back, and yes, their last name is Ho. They’ve had one kid so far (named Ethan), and another on the way. I don’t think that they are going to name the new kid Ida or Ivan… that would be too cruel! I’ve heard of a poet named **William Williams**. There was a girl who wrote in to Ann Landers once, saying she was proud of her name, as her mother and grandmother had had it before her. The name in question? **Rose Rose**. In a baby name book I was reading once, the author commented that her brother was named **Ryan Ryan**. Of course, he got teased at school (“What are you going to name your kid? Ryan Ryan Ryan?”), but later found it was a great way to meet women. Memorable, to say the least.
