“Well, screenwriters did a hell of a lot for Stanley Kubrick’s career. They made that talent-free zone of a human being into a “cinematic genius.” Feh.” I’m glad to see that someone actually agrees with my opinion. 😃 ---

Since Kubrick wrote the screenplays for several of his films himself and was credited as screenwriter for most of the rest, the comment is just plain stupid. ---

Agreed. Oh, and he had more [Oscar nominations](http://us.imdb.com/Pawards?Kubrick,%20Stanley) as screenwriter than he did as director, not to mention more nominations from the WGA than from the DGA. ---
