I haven’t seen it yet, as it hasn’t been released in Europe at all. 😕
But I finally got it somewhere and am going to watch it tonight.
I am really looking forward to it, as the trailer already had me up in stitches.
This is exactly my kind of humour.

Does anybody know any movies with a similar type of humour?

Perhaps _Welcome to the Dollhouse_. It’s got some weird/hilarious lines.

This is from IMDB.

> Dawn Weiner: Y–yes I did.
> Lolita: You came in here to take a shit.
> Dawn Weiner: No, really. I don’t have to go. My hands were just dirty, that’s all.
> Lolita: Liar. I can smell you from here.

And if I recall correctly, Lolita makes her go into the stall and then tells her, “I want to see you shit.”

“Dollhouse” is a much more “nerds picked on” movie than _Nappy D_ but it’s pretty funny.

I did see _Welcome to the Dollhouse_ and absolutely hated it.
That was the most gut-wrenching, nasty piece of cinema I have ever seen.
I didn’t get the feeling that it was a comedy at all.
And I really wanted to kill that kid who tried to screw the poor girl.
It was probably my fault, but I really couldn’t find anything funny in that movie.

_Napoleon Dynamite_ is a much more benign movie than _Welcome to the Dollhouse_. Very rarely do you feel sorry for Napoleon. He’s not popluar, and gets picked on, but he often gives as good as he gets (in a very dorky, Napoleon-like way, of course). Plus it’s got a more or less happy ending.

I guess they can’t do 'em all, but they left out some classics! Especially from Kip the cage fighter. 😃

Well, then, don’t see “Happiness”.

Todd Solondz makes provocative films.

There’s humor in them, but it’s couched inside very dark movies.
