Nothing fancy, just list some movies where a character narrates a portion of it: Off the top of my head: The Right Stuff Goodfellas A Christmas Story Stand By Me I thought of this over the weekend when The Untouchables came on and there was some script at the beginning. I had a hard time reading it and thought it would be better if it were narrated, then bingo: “Straight Dope Topic” ---

The original (i.e. pre-director’s cut) version of **Blade Runner** had the Harrison Ford narration (which, incidentally, I prefer to the non-narrated version). ---

**Life is Beautiful** - Probably one of the best movies I have ever seen. IIRC, its narrated in English, and there are Italian subtitles. ---

**Life is Beautiful**? When I saw it yesterday it was all in Italian except for a few parts in German and that brief moment in English when the American in the tank talks to Giosue. Perhaps you have a different version. * * * A question related to the OP. What about movies narrated by several of the characters in the film? I’m sure there are some, but I can’t think of any off hand. ---
