NASA's Mars Rover Curiosity

This is so cool Whoever’s at the Adler, I echo the /luckee!!! So cool.

Good luck peanuts.

Something about someone eating peanuts during a prior successful landing, hence “good luck” peanuts, or JPL is still reaaaally holding against hope that Jericho will be picked back up by one of the networks.

that guy with the mohawk is distracting me , lol

Declan

Before the landing, the cruise stage separation will take place, just 8 minutes for that according to the NASA “live” simulation.

For the bandwidth-challenged among us, audio is available here:

The simulation now shows Mars is literally enlarging fast enough to see…

Time to entry: 17:00.00

Seems ironic that Earth has sent a flying saucer to Mars.

It is the red planet, after all.

Re: Peanuts - It was explained that way back during the Ranger launches there were several failures in a row and when they finally got a successful mission it was noted someone was eating peanuts at the time and thus a tradition was born.

Side note - my internet connection keeps buffering. I guess everyone is starting to logon now…

We are go for barsoom

I’m also reading the names of the mission’s team members printed on the back of their workstations, hoping a see a one “John Carter.”

Forget the guy with the Mohawk, who’s the guy speaking now with the Johnny Bravo 'do?
