I just got back from (finally) seeing _ **Thor.** _ I’d had no idea she was Dr. Love Interest until the credits rolled. I hadn’t even known she was in the movie. So I’m going to have to keep her in the ‘generically beautiful, not memorable’ file. – I liked it. It’s like a Kirby/80’s anime co-production, for which Stan Lee had been hired to Stan Lee up the dialog. ---

My 20-something daughter adores Ms. Portman. We were watching V Is For Vengeance and Mr. Sali blurts out his opinion of what a crappy non-actress she was, is, and will be. Based on a wooden performance in Star Wars, I guess. Daughter gets severely offended, stomps out of room, Mr. Sali all ???whadIsay??? :rolleyes: Equally puzzled at Oscar win for Black Swan. … Oh, he thinks she’s just middling-pretty, is all. I think so, too, maybe a 6-1/2 on a scale of 1-10. ---
