# Nate Silver / 538 Was Right

I think Gallup’s complaint about freeloading aggregators would carry more weight if it were made by a polling organization who actually added value to the election polling this year. As **DSeid** noted, after this election cycle it is hard to see what would be lost if Gallup disappeared off the planet

I discovered this site just before the first debate and followed the analysis here closely. I learned a lot and developed a greater appreciation for Nate’s work. Also, I was much more relaxed and confident election night, compared to my buddies who’d relied on punditry instead of Nate. Thanks, SDMB Election Geektroids! xox
