# National do not call list

My phone number was added to the national list last year. Is there any legal action a consumer can take against telemarketers continuing to call?

You can [file a complaint](https://www.donotcall.gov/Complain/ComplainCheck.aspx) through the registry’s website. I have no idea how effective this is.

The FCC has issued citations, so reporting the violation isn’t totally ineffective, at least. No fines have been issued yet, as far as I know, but that’ll come.
