My three beagles were especially appreciated yesterday. They got a bit of cooked ground sirloin in their breakfast and dinner, plus a taste of ham for a snack in the evening. Of course this was in addition to the walks and noogies and treats they normally get. They deserve every bit of it too. ---

There’s a mini debate between race kennel people and adopters. The kennel people think we take their hardened athletes and turn them into spun-sugar princesses. My take is that they start the transformation when they bring the young pups in from the farm and put them into private, air-conditioned apartments and wait on them hand and foot. So there! But yes, both of mine are divas. ---

So there! > > But yes, both of mine are divas. My husband saw our current hound off the day he was to move from the puppy farm to the finishing facility - gave him a hug and a kiss. The farm manager said, “Hey, don’t do that, you’ll turn him into a pussy!” 😛 He turned into a fine racer and then a great pet.
