I would have thought that you would explain your comment “the Montreal Canadiens (yes, that’s how they’ve always spelled it)”, especially since we are talking to Americans who don’t understand that the NHL is a Canadian institution. They spell it with an “e” because that is how you spell “Canadian” in French. Montreal being a French city in a French province, and all…
