I live in an apartment complex, and will be blessedly free of trick-or-treaters tonight. The current plan is to go directly home from work, do not pass go, do not collect two hundred dollars, and do a myriad of small domestic tasks that will not get done in the coming month. I’m going grocery shopping at lunchtime to stock up on easy-to-make, un-time-consuming dinners for myself, and the last thing I plan to do tonight is to pack up my laptop so I can actually start writing at lunchtime tomorrow. Strangely enough, I had so much to do this weekend that I didn’t even _think_ about my story, and I have to spend tonight talking with the characters to make sure they still want to take part. 🙂 ---

I went to a small kick-off party yesterday, and am inspired but still not prepared. This morning I woke up a bit panicked about tomorrow, and suddenly can’t seem to get the NaNo forums to load. Hopefully it’s them, not me, and they’ll fix it soon. I sure hope my muse makes an appearance soon… ---

I’m good, but I’ve been working on mine for the past week. I’m sure I’ll reach 50,000 in a month from my start time, and if they’re really anal about “no, you must start on november 1st” rule(which is bizarre, since it’s honor system anyway and the only prizes is a web icon and certificate), I just won’t have it offically verified. But it still won’t change the fact it encouraged me to write and get it done, which is the whole point, I thought. Why didn’t I wait till tomorrow? Because 2 years after starting the projecting(during another Nanowrite), I finally got the inclination and inspiration to go on and finish it. I’d rather run with the thing now when I’ve got the drive then wait a week or so until an arbitrary start time begins. ---

Okay, it’s T minus 3 1/2 hours to the starting line, and I’m getting a bit anxious. My problem is not that I have no idea what to write a novel about, I have _too many_ ideas for novels I want to write about! Ugh, Erg, Agh, Oof, Aah!! What’ll I do? What’ll I do? I feel just like that Twitchy kid on “South Park” (the one whose parents encourage him to drink coffee, and as a result he’s hyper-anxious to the point of seeing little gnomes.) ---

I’ve downloaded the free software yWriter and have been playing around with it. It’s a nice way to organize your writing–if you’re into that sort of thing. I guess I am. Two and a half hours! _quiver_ Meep! ---
