# Nationwide crime lull post-911 and return to normal....

I remember one of the things that happened right after 9-11 was that there was a drop in crime, or at least temporarily.

Do I remember correctly? Was it nationwide or predominantly in New York?

Also, I’m wondering when crime rates reached back to normal pre-911 rates.
