I’ve been cross dressing for over 30 years. And now I want to grow my breasts naturally. For over a month I’ve been taking herbs like red clover, wild yam, saw palmetto, vitex, black cohosh, dong Quai phytoestrogens, hops, progesterone cream fenugreek, fennel, and estroven(6pills)per day. The question I have will this make my breasts bigger. Will I also gain weight from the pills. Any answers or suggestions. ---

Have you tried talking tenderly to your breasts? Even plants grow well when they hear soothing voices of encouragement daily. In Indian traditional medicine system, [Shatavari](https://www.verywellhealth.com/the-benefits-of-shatavari-88830)is a plant extract that contains phytoestrogens and might help you grow your own boobs. Yeah, what he said. Do consider that instead of spending a lot of money on supplements which may or may not be what they are advertised to be and may or may not have unpleasant side effects you might better reach your goal by saving all that money, finding a competent and sympathetic surgeon, and getting a boob job. Yes, it will cost a few thousand dollars and some pain during recovery, and not all doctors will be willing to do this for you but, sincerely, think about it. Long term it might also be less likely to have a negative impact on your health. If it were easy or feasible to grow your own tits on a phenotypically male body most M-t-F transgender folks would likely opt for that over “top” surgery, but they don’t. Consider that as well. ---

If your daughter’s breasts are smaller than she wants, she could have breast augmentation, but she’s basically got what her genetics decided she’d get. Or she may still be growing–she’s a teen, yes? ---

IANAMTFT but I’ve heard, from people who have undergone gender transition, that hormones only work up to a point, and the later in life hormone-assisted breast growth is attempted the less aesthetic and reliable the result. Most of the MtF transgender people I know wind up getting breast surgery. I’m sure there are exceptions. Given the report of 30 years of cross-dressing the OP is presumably at least 40-50 years old. At least. The results may not be all that he hopes for. Also, the amount of estrogen and related hormones required to induce breast growth in a phenotypically male human body can have other effects, like impotence (though not always), the OP may find undesirable. I didn’t say “get a boob job”, I said consider it. The other thing to consider is finding a sympathetic doctor willing to discuss this cosmetic alteration and the alternatives for achieving it in a safe manner. Maybe he could get some medications that will do the job with fewer hazards than a DIY approach. In the end it’s up to the OP. ---

Read “Are You There God, Its Me Margaret” and follow the tried and true bust enhancing exercises therein. (Sorry to tell you, but women have been searching for ways to control the titty fairy for years - almost every woman goes through either a “too small” or “too big” stage. And the only two cures - weight loss/gain and surgery. Or socks. You can use socks. Oh, and breastfeeding/pregnancy - get knocked up and you’ll have boobies for days). ---

I guess she wants to be larger then! My poor daughter got my breasts which I had substantially reduced a few years back. She was happy to be on the large side but then kept growing into the really, really expensive bra size range. Her surgery wasn’t covered–my state requires it for most employers but not mine (self-insurer). ---

Back in the Reefer Madness era, there was a belief that smoking the Devil’s Lettuce would lead to gynecomastia (enlarged breasts on males). Like so many anti-cannabis scare tactics, it’s probably false. Or is it? _CNN_ calls it “[plausible](https://www.cnn.com/2013/12/05/health/youn-pot-moobs/index.html).” Or at least, they did in 2013.
