Hey, I read that book! I was about nine at the time. My mother had checked it out from the library and told me a bit about it. I was sufficiently intrigued, so read it after her. The book sounded weird and interesting, though I think a lot of it went completely over my head. If I remember correctly, the little people were the result of some drug that pregnant Jewish women in concentration camps were exposed to. It halted the growth of the fetus, but not the development. I think they were mute, too. Unless, of course, there is _another_ book about tiny Nazis and Iā€™ve somehow managed to confuse the two.
