Obviously trying to infiltrate spies. Although it’s way too small to be an Me-109. BTW, that was an emergency landing, not a crash. ---

A lot of people want a warbird, and military schemes are common among homebuilders. Homebuilders, and owners of [actual warbirds](https://images.fineartamerica.com/images/artworkimages/mediumlarge/1/condor-squadron-at-6-brandon-moffit.jpg) sometimes paint them in enemy colours. I understand why people would get upset, but it’s just one of those Walter Mitty things in aviation. ---

Apart from the paint scheme, that plane looks little like a WW2 warbird. Can one of our resident aviators identify the actual plane? ---
