Wes Unseld Jr out as Wizards coach, will be moved to a front office position. I never had much faith in him, and he never did anything to even begin to dissuade me. Seems weird to fire a coach when you are not even really trying to compete. Unless this counts more as a promotion since he moved into the front office. ---

I can’t believe that Lillard is going to have to put up with this shit again. Management totally fucked up the Blazers roster, then blamed the coach and hired Billups to replace Stotts. It was enough to finally convince Lillard to abandon ship, which at least saved him from the embarrassment of the present season in Portland. The T-wolves barely squeaked by the Nets, after blowing another 18 point lead in a dismal 4th quarter showing. Eight turnovers punched a huge hole in what was a very good defensive effort. Tonight they’re playing the hapless Spurs, but nothing is certain with these guys. ---

It’s just the playstyle of the current era based about loads of three pointers, not only does that alone raise scoring averages it also spreads out the defense making it even easier to score. There’s been more 60 point games in the past week than in the entire 80’s decade and the same amount of 70 point games in the last year as in the sixty years before. ---
