T-wolves held off the Spurs without much trouble. If you want to see a great finish, though, look for the end of the Mavericks-Cavs game. ---

Looks like the Pistons coach thinks the Knicks game was stolen by the refs due to bad calls. What calls did he think were wrong? I thought they had replayā€¦ Iā€™m sure he is frustrated. The Pistons are 8-49. ---

MN had a surprisingly hard time with the injury-plagued Grizzlies. Memphis came to play and put up a very good defense and passing game. Next up MN does the back-to-back thing with the Clippers and Blazers again. ---

Orlando finishes Feb 9-3, at this rate we are skipping the play in and going right to the playoffs. There is very little difference in the East from 4-10 in the standings though. ---

Seems to be very little reason to expect it after this season, whatever decline heā€™s had is hardly noticeable and he is still easily a top 10 player in the league. Barring serious injury I could easily see him going at least four more seasons, with the last one being more of a ā€œI should have retired last seasonā€ situation. ---

MN lost to the Kings in OT by four points after Edwards suddenly departed the game to be at his girlfriendā€™s side for the birth of their child. Babies are overrated. ---

The good news is the six teams doing worse than Toronto (all divisions) are doing a lot worse than Toronto. The Raptors have traded most of their talent for first-round draft picks. I think this is fine, but I know people who deem a late first round draft pick as useless since the very, very best players are usually known and coveted. I think firing Nurse for a 41-41 season was stupid. Heā€™s done better in Philly. He played the cards he was dealt with skill. ---

First round picks are almost always better as trade fodder than the player they become. Orlando had the 6th and 11th picks this last draft, they could have got a much better player than Anthony Black and Jett Howard. ---

Epic defensive battle between MN and Clippers. A one point win by LA in a low-scoring game. Seems like opposing teams are terrified of Mike Conley. He gets swarmed whenever he touches the ball. A good game by the Clippersā€™ Norman Powell. I always liked him as a workhorse bench player when he was in Portland. Speaking of which, we have a back-to-back with Portland tonight. ---

Yeah, we havenā€™t had defensive battles like this since the Knicks or the Pacers in the 90s. Boston alone scored like 144 on Golden State. ---

MN managed to narrowly grind out a win against a depleted Portland team. The upcoming string of games is going to be a tough ride, so I hope theyā€™re packing their A game. ---

Pistons now have 11 wins on the season and have about 20(?) games left. They have a horrible record, but are looking to be pretty far away from the worst season of all time. ---

MN is now third in the west. The absence of KAT is being felt. Two games with the Jazz coming up, so hopefully they can get at least one win.
