Did anyone else see that garbage last night? It was “The Kid of the King” Lisa Marie Presley singing her new hit single… 1st off, she wasn’t singing… ok I understand that some people fake it because of their intense dance moves… but I don’t think a twist of the hand every 30 seconds or so counts towards that… 2nd… She didn’t even know the words… she would mess up and then cover her mouth with her hands so you couldn’t see… The song was horrible… and she has no talent whatsoever… That was horrible… ---

I don’t mind Lisa Marie Presley making a go of a music career. I just wish “The Media” didn’t feel the need to prop her up at every turn. Let her succeed or fail on her own merits. ---

It a shame that the NBA, in all its glory and eminence couldn’t get someone better to perform at the _opening game of the NBA finals_. I don’t think the audience were all that into it either. They should’ve had Christina Aguilera do her “Fighter” song, or whatever it’s called instead. ---

I agreed. I was wondering if it was because my TV was turned down too low (sleeping baby), but it did seem like she was mumbling and the instruments were cranked up to cover it. ---

Why do they have that nonsense during the games anyway? Completely unnecessary. Just do halftime analysis, preferably including Charles Barkley, or show Bill Walton being muzzled. …but, if you’re going to get someone, why would you pick an artist whose musical style is completely not in-tune with the modern NBA? Wouldn’t it be about 1,000 times more appropriate to have 50 Cent or another hip-hop artist out there? ---

You’d think the NBA would have learned their lesson after Destiny’s Child practically got booed off the stage in Philadelphia when the Sixers and Lakers were in the finals. ---

I believe that the basketball court is still the same though… they don’t really show a square arena the whole time… ---

The exchange with Tolbert when something like: BW: Over the past decade, no one has been a better defender than Robert Horry. TT: What? [awkward silence for a few seconds] TT: I can’t believe you just said that? I mean, Robert Horry is a good defender, but the best over the past decade…come on. What about Bruce Bowen or Kobe Bryant or Tim Duncan. He’s not even the best defender on the court right now! BW: Wrong! Look at the footwork! Robert Horry has been the best defender in the game. That man needs to be taken off the air. ---

However, I don’t like watching games from the Alamo either. It must be something about the colors on the court and the lighting, but the arena just doesn’t look good on television. I can’t really explain it better than that, which makes me sound crazy. ---

Lisa Marie Presley - SUCKS! There was only one Presley with talent, and she ain’t it. I boycot the NBA or any finals - that think they need musical talent to get people to watch anyway. Give it up Honey and go back to Graceland and take care of Daddy’s legacy. Anyone see her on Diva’s Duets 2003 Las Vegas, she Sucked not even Pat Benatar could make her sound good - they did Heartbreaker Duet. ---
