It was a total of 48 million, around half being stock options. It doesn’t matter who you are, 48 million is 48 million. Ballmer is claiming he got scammed.

I thought he had been offered something like 15 million a year to play in China. I guess at this point the money matters better very little, but that is a huge difference. Stephon Marbury had a very successful post NBA career in China.
