Looks like this is real this time: Cavs fire Mike Brown. The Curse of the Coach of the Year lives on!
I’m a little happy and a little sad the Lakers lost last night. It was a good loss, if that means anything, because they played hard and they didn’t show up with no heart like the Magic. The Suns simply took it from them. I hope that motivates the Lakers into competing better in game 4. I want them to use this game as fuel for the Celtics series because they look dominating.
Orlando wins tonight and the series gets interesting. Nobody has come back from a 3-0 but 3-2 has been done plenty, including orlando against boston last year.
Hell yeah! I was at that game tonight and the place was insane. We gave Boston 2 concussions, plus Pierce laid on the floor like a little baby for a while. So much for the Magic being “soft.”
On top of that, Perkins just got his 7th technical and will have to sit for Game 6.
The Magic team definitely have a chance at making history with the greatest NBA Playoffs series comeback!
I doubt Perkins will sit, several of his technicals have been bs and they all get reviewed before a suspension is handed out. I don’t even know how Daniels got a concussion, it looked like he rammed his face right into Gortats chest.
Apparently he’s had some sort of stomach virus and spent most of the series so far puking his guts out, he had to have fluids IVed to play in the previous games. Guess he is feeling better.
While I’m disappointed in my Lakers for dropping 2 to the Suns, I still believe they will win the series so I’m not too upset. They need this kick in the butt to motivate them to play better. I don’t want them to beat the Suns again by outscoring them 120-100, I want them to hold the Suns under 100 in one of these wins, it will help them better prepare for the next round against whomever comes out of the East
Speaking of the East, could this be the perfect storm of circumstances all coming together to let the Magic be the first team to win after going down 0-3? Think about it, usually teams up 3-0 are the higher seed and the better team, but this year it’s debatable whether that’s the Magic or the Celtics. Also, the Celtics are older and need more rest. They got a lot during the first 2 rounds that allowed them to rest their old legs. From game 4 and on, games will be every other day and there’s thousands of miles between Orlando and Boston. Another thing working in the 0-3 team’s favor is injuries. A team can probably come back if a bunch of guys from the other team gets hurt while up 3-0 and they drop 4 in a row. Last game 2 key guys got concussions, and you don’t come back from those that quickly. Last thing, the Magic dominated game 5, they didn’t squeak out a win. As we see in the West Finals, a team who figures out the other’s defense can probably win a couple of games before the other thing adjusts.
I still want Boston in the Finals against the Lakers, especially if they’re banged up, but any humilation they suffer is good for me. If they become the first team to lost while up 3-0, I can take that.
The Magic aren’t even playing that great, other than Nelson, Howard and Redick the rest of the team has been well below average. Specially Carter and mr playoffs Pietrus.
