Friday Night Lights is coming back, I’m so pumped! I was quite nervous. I’m also happy about Scrubs, but I was less worried about it this year. The Office and My Name is Earl were givens so NBC did me right this year. They do a better job of sticking with a struggling show than some. The new shows don’t sound very promising but I’ll give a few of them a try such as: Chuck Journeyman The IT Crowd ---

A 200 year old guy playing a teen that’s just retarded.” But then I checked IMDB and he is not playing the teen he is just the biggest star so he name is mentioned, but the way they worded it it came off confusing. ---

The description for Heroes: Origins concerns me. Apparently they introduce a bunch of characters and then let viewers decide which one will end up on the show the next season? We’re now ruining traditional entertainment by turning the creative process over to a _reality show_? ---

One new show that I’m interested in seeing, The Bionic Woman, and it’s on at a time I can’t watch or tape it. For all the bitching and manipulating the networks do about DVRs they certainly are working their schedules to leave me with few options beyond getting one. ---

I’m glad Damian Lewis is getting his own show, I only hope it’s worthy of his talent (I expect he’ll be using his excellent American accent). Interesting that “30 Rock” and “The Office” are switching time slots. I wonder why. ---

I like Lewis, too, though [the best thing he’s ever done](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0420291/) is apparently unknown by virtually everyone but me. _Life_ will be up against _Lost_ (thank you DVR!) I think they’re repositioning _The Office_ at 9 because it’s a choicer time slot. Anyone coming off an hour show from 8-9 (particularly _Ugly Betty_) will be able to go there now. ---

I really don’t know what else to say, but I’m really disappointed to see this. It smacks of network suits squeezing more money out of a successful show in the worst way. ---

Only now we all have to watch as a good thing is watered down to the lowest common denominator AND we pay them for the privilege of giving our opinion - $2.99 a call or something, isn’t it? :rolleyes: ---

I’m just sad that Identity didn’t get renewed. Yet Deal or No Deal is airing twice a week, and it’s less than half the game show Identity was. ---

One of my mother’s friends was talking about game shows, and she went on and on for about ten minutes about how offensive Penn Jillette was. I was tempted to urge her to watch “Bullshit!” on Showtime, but I overcame the temptation in time to save myself from being browbeaten to within an inch of my life by my momma. ---

Yay! Kevin McKidd (Vorenus from _Rome_)is getting a show. Love him, and they say it sounds like Quantum Leap, so it sounds up our alley. It’s too bad Andy Barker didn’t make it. I still remember the bit they did with their toddler crying all night because they lost her toy. They show a montage of them offering all kinds of toys and objects, having them thrown back or causing more screaming, and there’s just a short shot of Clea Lewis offering a boxful of trashbags, with this \*look \*on her face, and it had us on the floor.
