I wish that either revived threads were treated like normal threads, without the tired zombie jokes and, sometimes, locking. If that’s not possible, which would be surprising as most other forums on the internet manages it, then locking threads over, say, 3 months old automatically would solve the problem. Driving away newcomers who respond to an old thread, like they would do anywhere else, with stupid jokes is the worst possible option IMHO. ---

I wouldn’t so much pit thread-raisers and those thread-raisers who raise a 5-year-old thread just to respond with an insignificant “I agree” to one of the posts. ---

Some of the things being revived are really stupid. Like a things that have timelines. I do think some of it spamming/trolling. There are a lot of boards that archive their things. I think The Dope might just be allowing zombies because they don’t want to change the way things are done. ---
