Wouldn’t the OP have enough (with money to spare) just by capturing Osama Bin Laden, shipping him into this country undetected, and dragging him by the beard into the middle of one of Mike ‘The Lizard’ Bloomberg’s numerous press conferences and demanding his reward in cash in front of Og & Sundry…? ---

Back when I made a living in offset printing, me and a coworker were discussing ways to get away with counterfeiting money. Making it would be easy for us. Getting actual money for it would be a different matter. Go to some crowded tourist spot, like the Grand Strand at Myrtle Beach, making sure you’re wearing nondescript clothing and sunglasses and a cheap haircut. Buy an el cheapo piece of kitsch and give their cashier a bogus twenty. Pocket the change, then go on to the next crowded gift store, and repeat until everything closes down, then get the hell out of dodge before the merchants find the bogus twenties during closing and call the law. Of course this was before the inserted strips and redesigned bills. Also, the Feds keep their eye on EVERY printshop and catch 80% of counterfeiters before they get their product out. But it was fun to think about. ---

I went into my bank just before Christmas to get a motorcycle loan. I didn’t have the insurance paperwork with me, so I asked for a signature loan. Imagine my surprise when I looked at my balance online, and found an extra 5.5k in my account. Puzzled, I began looking into it, and it turns out they somehow added the amount to my car loan, and\* then\* gave me a sig loan. So, after Christmas, I went in, paid off the signature loan by getting a secured loan on the bike, took out the cash, and used it to pay off my credit card at another bank. I think I may do it again in a few months, since there’s still going to be a bit on my card until I get reimbursed for school in May, and the car loan interest is half that of the credit cards. So if you have cars worth $100k, or are able to secure a “second mortgage” for them, or your house, or just through cash advances on your cards, you may be able to swing it.
