It’s not exactly what you describe, but there’s a Roger Corman movie that was done on Mystery Science Theater 3000 called _The Undead_. It deals with reincarnation rather than with time travel per se, but it’s in black and white, there’s a psychic that does hook himself up to a machine to travel back in time, he does meet Satan, he does wind up stranded in the past, and the last shot is the psychic’s empty clothes in a chair.
He doesn’t exactly rescue the girl, so much as persuade her to correct her timeline by dying so that her reincarnation in the present can live.
Other than that, I got nothin’.
