Need cat help

But can occasionally be found sleeping together when they think no one is looking.

No. Not ever. For reals, they HATE and have continuously hated each other. They won’t even both sit on the couch or the bed at the same time, much less touching. No. That would NEVER happen, unless one of them was strongly sedated. Once in a while she tries to sniff him. He just gives her a look that says, “Bitch are you HIGH!?” and she is just barely smart enough to leave quick, because Bandit doesn’t make threats, he makes promises.

There’s only been a few trips to the vet. Initially, they had to be kept fully separated for about a year, due to the aggressive attacks. Bandit has mellowed considerably whiat with the arthritis and the kidney failure and the diabetes. But he will still run her off if she gets close. Or beat her ass if she doesn’t leave with a promptness when instructed to do so.

This made me laugh.

Our dominant cat is fat and lazy for the most part. When the other one tries to enter her domain (the downstairs couch), she gets this look on her face like ‘really, do we have to go through this again? I am really comfortable here.’ About half the time, the other cat just leaves with the look. The other half of the time, fatty just has to stand up.

It doesn’t usually come to blows any more (unless they are fighting over the one piece of property neither of them is willing to surrender: my lap).
