In an old article in _Mad,_ a passage mentioned “Buggus Bunnius, the famous [for _what?]_ Latin scholar,” is quoted as saying, _“Stratus winnus; lorbrakus losus; paisus stratus shutus!”_ Which supposedly means (in \*what language, \*may I ask?) “Straight shooters always win, lawbreakers always lose, so it pays to shoot straight!”
What I would like to know is the _correct_ Latin translation of the phrase, \*not \*the one Mr. “Bunnius” rendered.

How about this:

Qui recta et vera loquatur, semper vincit;
qui contra legem committat, semper vincitur;
ita recta et vera loqui lucratur.

My favorite Latin malediction has been _Ī in orcī ānum_ (go into the asshole of Orcus), though in attempting to find the source, I find that I must have corrupted it from [this one from Erasmus](http://books.google.com/books?id=_6I9AAAAcAAJ&pg=PA610&lpg=PA610&dq=In+Orci+culum+incidas&source=bl&ots=Jrb8T85_OY&sig=_bQ0Zt8cskkLucOEbO-yq2yUmIQ&hl=en&sa=X&ei=rxrrT-2qM6Wr2AXp8JGlAQ&ved=0CE0Q6AEwBDgK#v=onepage&q=In%20Orci%20culum%20incidas&f=false): _In orcī cūlum incidās_ (may you fall in the asshole of Orcus). Probably my version got confounded with _Ī in malam crucem_ (go get crucified).

That should be “Latina porcorum”. Or “atinaLay orcorumpay”, if you prefer.
