Here’s the deal: for many years, my dad has been involved in a massive project (the Space Infrared Telescope Facility, or [SIRTF](http://sirtf.caltech.edu/) , for those of you with an astrophysical bent) which is now out there, doing its thing. So I thought that as a birthday/Hannukah present I would get ahold of a photo of it and put it on a t-shirt or a sweatshirt, or generally the coolest custom thing I can find.

Can anyone recommend a website that specializes in that kind of thing, or recommend a specific idea? I want something that’s right on the borderline between classy and totally-over-the-top tacky.
Thanks

They make iron on computer paper, so you can make a transfer of whatever you want. They even have special paper to transfer onto dark t-shirts and sweatshirts. Check out your local office supply store, arts & crafts store, or X-mart type store. You can get a pack of 12 transfers for around $10-15.

[Cafepress.com](http://Cafepress.com) is your friend. You upload an image, then you can plaster it on shirts, mugs, coasters, calendars, and anything else you like. The images on the shirts are more durable than what you’d get with iron-on transfers, IMO.

I just used
[http://www.zazzle.com](http://www.zazzle.com)
It was pretty cheap, and I had fun creating the tee-shirt. I got it yesterday (a gift for my husband) and it’s pretty good quality. They were fast, too.
