Don’t really need anything bigger than 21" and don’t need built-in speakers. I don’t do gaming. Mostly everyday surfing, some movies and video watching and some processing of RAW format pics. My video card (Biostar VA4653NH51) has HDMI, D-SUB and DVI ports. Two I’ve been looking at: A little bigger than what I need, but it’s an IPS monitor, so that should definitely be a plus, right? Although I’m not crazy about the thick bottom border, if it’s that much better than other monitors in that price range I can live with it. I could definitely use some advice from others that know more about monitors than me, considering I don’t have much knowledge in this area. Thanks.

Let me try that again:

Instead of looking at “monitors”, look at “small TVs”. My last two monitors have been small LG TVs, less than half the price of something the same size labeled “monitor” and more kinds of connectors than these. And you can watch TV on them without a TV card!
