# Need help creating an L.L.C. for an indie film company...

Hey, all. I’m currently in production with a self funded independant film that I wrote and am producing and directing. I want to actually form a film company entity to along with the film, for when I start promoting it.

The legal end of things is completely new to me. I’ve spent a lot of money on the movie itself, so sadly, my fundage is a bit low, otherwise I would have already retained a lawyer to help me with this. That being said, can anyone shed some light on how I can go about doing this, what steps I should take, what it’s most likely to cost me, what would be the most inexpensive route to take (if there even _IS_ such a thing), etc…?

Any guidence would be greatly appreciated! Thanks. (:

Forming an LLC is pretty easy; deciding whether it’s the best decision is harder.
