# Need Help finding a Rap Song

One of my local radio stations plays a large variety of music. A few weeks ago they started airing a rap song I kind of liked. I can’t identify the song because the lyrics are incomprehensible, but I still kind of like it. So, I am asking the experts of the SDMB for help, I know it’s a long shot. This is all I can say regarding it’s Identity.
Female singer, I assume it’s somewhat new, throughout the song there is a constant high pitched female short scream, or yap all through the song.
That’s all I got, Help!

I’m not an expert in modern rap, but if it’s playing frequently on the radio, there’s a good chance it’s one of the more popular female rappers – Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, Nicki Minaj, off the top of my head (I’m sure there are a handful more I can’t think of). Perhaps you could peruse YouTube for some of their videos and see if you recognize any of their voices.

Are the lyrics hard to understand because of how fast they’re singing/rapping or something else?
Are there any male voices or just female (1? more than 1?)?
Listen to some other female rappers on youtube and see if it at least sounds similar to what you heard so we have some direction. Knowing if it sounds more like, for example, Nicki Minaj vs Doja Cat will go a long way in narrowing down the possibilities.

My number one suggestion is the Shazam app. It’s a lifesaver for things like that.
Second is check their website, a lot of times they will have “we just played” up there.

See if the station has a playlist. I know some of mine show their lists/rotations and recently played songs online.
