AAUGHH! Can someone identify this Christmas cartoon TV special for me, please?

It involves this little round-headed kid who laments the commercialization of Christmas. This kid must have been deeply disturbed, since at one point, he even sought psychiatric counseling from this crabby young gal – for five cents! Good grief!

I also remember this Beethoven-playing kid and this boy who’s a virtual pig pen. Oh, and this dancing, almost human-like dog.

The round-headed kid tries to direct a Christmas play, but his attempt was, well, wishy-washy at best. So this other kid quotes from Luke’s Gospel, and all ends on a happy note.

Can someone help, please? I feel like such a blockhead.

Now that I think about it, there’s this Christmas story I can’t remember. It was a movie, I think, a story about Christmas. Anyway, in this Christmas story, which took place in the past, there’s this kid, and the story is about his experiences during Christmas time. He really wants a BB gun, but nobody will get it for him. There’s also a scene in this Christmas story where a kid gets his tongue stuck to a freezing flagpole. I think this Christmas story was called _The Boy Who Couldn’t Get a BB Gun_.

I saw part of this today. I thought it was an old “Night Stalker” rerun. The family ate a swan or something.

Isn’t there one that’s all in rhyme, about a green guy who lives on a mountain and hates Christmas?

I think it’s a sequel to “It’s a Wonderful Life”.

Must be the Family Guy Christmas episode…
Now the one that I wonder about is that cartoon that has a snowman coming back to life when a magic hat is put on his head, was it Jack Frost?

Anyone remember that one about the two old army buddies who become entertainers after WWII is over, and then they try and save their commanding officer’s hotel from bankrupcy by performing there? I think it had, uh, Bill Cosby? No, that’s not quite it.

Rio is a river in Spanish, Duran Duran was the scientist from Barbarella. It is a great Christmas movie.

Calvin and Hobbes should do a Christmas special.

I highly recommend a Live Blue Spruce, but if you live in a cold climate, dig the hole ahead of time before the ground gets to hard. Keep it watered and you should have a wonderful addition to your yard.

Any other Christmas questions? I’ll be happy to help.

Jim the Oblivious.

This one has been driving me crazy!

There was this movie (maybe it was also a book) set in Victorian England about some mean old rich guy who’s haunted by all these ghosts around Christmas Eve. I think one of the ghosts wore a hood and carried a scythe like the Angel of Death. I believe the ghosts scared the crap out the old bastard so much that at the end he reformed and started opening up his pocketbook more often.

And, while we’re on the subject, this may not be a Christmas movie but I remember there were some scenes with snow and sleds so maybe it was. It was also about some rich old bastard but this one dies at the beginning after mumbling something about roses and dropping a snow globe. The rest of the film is a flashback about how the old guy built this huge media empire and tried to bully anyone who stood in his way. For some reason, it ends with an old sled being put in a fire. Can anybody help me on this one?

This was _A Charlie Kane Christmas_, based on the popular comic strip by Orson “Sparky” Welles, who was apparently a talented director as well. I wouldn’t know.
