# Need help opening a .MIX file.

The file is a photograph. It was created on a program called photodraw which I do not have. My GF sent me pictures of her in that file format. Anyone have any idea how I can look at these pictures without photodraw?  
I say photodraw because that is what it said when I got on the net to identify the software to use to open the file.  
Also XP can render a preview in the details window on the left. I wonder why I can’t look at the pictures?  
FYI I tried to open the file with all my photo software and all my Microsoft programs such as work and excel.

MS PhotoDraw and MS Picture-It are the only programs that can view .mix file. Photoshop doesn’t even support it. She obviously has the program to make that type of file, send it back and tell her to save it as a .jpg, .bmp, or .gif, formats that are supported by virtually all image viewing software.
