Well somehow I’ve been given the responsibility of planning a bachelor party this weekend. I don’t know how big the group will be, but I’m sure the typical strippers won’t go over well. If only for the cost. This group is notoriously cheap. I think can convince them to spend maybe $50-$75 each. Last bachelor party I went to, I was asked to put in $100, and that was before the 2 girls started taking their clothes off. Anyway, I think the party can either begin or end at a strip club since that’s only about $20-$40. But otherwise, what should I do? I’m in SoCal, so I was thinking about getting the group to go fishing on a charter. Any other ideas? Thanks for ideas in advance ---

Any other ideas? > Thanks for ideas in advance My experience has been that neither a strip club, nor strippers, are necessary. There always seems to be one guy who is very excited about the idea (usually a married guy), and the rest go along with the idea because they are supposed to. Generally, the last person that wants strippers is the groom to be. A fishing charter would be great, especially if you catch anything ( as opposed to the “strippers” where catching something is a negative). A camping trip can be fun, too as long as someone can carry all the beer. The most important thing is that all of the guys get together, have a chance to talk, trade stories, give bad advice ( the best way to begin an argument is with the words “you know what your problem is?”), get wasted, and safely get home. ---

We did paintball for my friend Matt’s bachelor party and it was a lot of fun. Plenty of down time for hanging out and shooting the shit, but also a lot of fun and a directed activity so the folks who didn’t know the other folks well didn’t feel left out. Also, I disagree with **Cletus** about the strippers. Don’t _get_ a stripper, certainly, as that’s expensive and a little creepy, but going to a strip club is de rigeur. Plus, if your groom doesn’t end up being whipped with his belt by a topless girl or closthespinned by a girl covered in shaving cream, you’ve not done your job. 😉 –Cliffy ---
