We are moving and the packers come in a week. Way back when I bought my iMac 27, I was able to figure out how to remove the Apple ID login requirement. I would like to restore this requirement, as the computer will be included in our shipment, and if stolen would be accessible to the thief. Sadly, my Apple-fu is weak and I have not been able to figure out how to reactivate the log-in requirement. Fast-ish help would be appreciated.

Thanks! That’s the one thing I didn’t try, of course. Once there, I was able to drill down to what I needed to do. I rarely use that computer; it’s mostly my wife’s domain. So I’m not very Apple literate, unlike with my PC.
